Yeah but then people would have been like "Why aint Mike say nothing about whats going on in NC its his backyard":mjpls:

Look the statement reeks of respectability politics but its fine for what it was:manny:
Then wait for folks t ask. No one asked him to talk

Has anyone asked Kemba Walker? Thomas Davis? Other Charlotte badrd athletes thoughts. No. No one asked. No one asked Jordan
this is beyond ridiculous man. people have been saying for years they wanted to hear from him on these issues, he just said a month ago he can't be silent anymore. you can not like his statement or think its generic bs fine, but saying "no one asked him" is stupid.

No one on this board or elsewhere asked for his input before he opened his mouth on it. He was quiet for years. The shock was in him opening his mouth, not anyone STILL ASKING him to do so after 30 plus years

By that logic, no one asked any of us to pay attention to what he said either:manny:

I understand if some folks are mad at him cause they think him talking more about looters is deviating from the issue but I think most people in 2016 are aware enough to hold the police accountable for the incidents that start this. At the same time, I think its fine if he wants calm as most protests contrary to what white media will say are in fact peaceful.

What sort of unfinished trash is this? The point is, if you speak, prepare for your statement to be judged. Jordan is a proven fence straddler. You know what you get when he speaks....PR contrived pointlessness. he's the verbal version of the Seahawks protest. Yet you act like folks are clamouring to hear that.

I didnt say at all that any of us clamouring to hear what he was gonna say or that we're celebrating it, I just understand why he gave the corporate answer while still being mindful of whats happening in his hometown.
