That is the most cowardly thing a man can do. It doesn't excuse what he did, but a dead man cannot defend himself. They're not calling him to account for anything. So to do it now just means you want to hear yourself talk.

It’s irrelevant, cause your voice or opinion won’t be heard and they’ll make sure of it. His face will still be on the side of that mountain, his statues will still be standing, and he will be revered as an iconic hero in history books. The irony is that the clip from thread was really trying to make the same point that he can't be defined merely by his shortcomings, as the full story of his life tells a larger, more nuanced story, and making a thread trying to call people out on stuff like this is still attempting to frame his life around said shortcomings.
