That book is garbage. Simmons writes with a slant and takes things way out of context to make his analogies work. The best writers on his sites were good before he knew of them. Simmons doesn't give insight- his guests do. When he tries to he gets in trouble because he takes small things and tries to make them a big deal. Part of the reason he couldn't get big name NBA players on his platform despite begging for years.

I don’t understand how people who’ve never played professional sports get jobs in sports journalism, especially when all she does is make snarky comments and stan the Spurs.
At least on radio, “the hole” stays quiet for the most part. Beadle’s always acted like the superior in her tv roles, as if she has any right to tell Marcellus Wiley when to stop talking about football, or whatever.

The guy who fired him was a friend and Bill got fired over calling out the NFL as too powerful for blackballing players like Ray Rice and that weird situation of them trying to suspend Tom Brady over deflated footballs in a game he won 45-7
NFL also suspended Zeke Elliot for no reason but once the Kapernick situation happened they ain't have no power
