Yaxel didn't start, broadcasters just said it was because of a minor hand injury but he's coming off the bench... What?

There's not much to takeaway from this game considering the competition is vastly inferior. The biggest thing was the turnovers and they were all very unselfish moving the ball, basically they looked like a Beilein team. Trey McKenney had the type of game that should do wonders for his confidence. LJ was out with an injury, so we'll have to wait and see how he looks this season.

Tied the Michigan record for 3’s in a game.

More turnovers (45) than points (40) is disgusting and Canisius isn't a good team, so there's not anything to takeaway from this game other than I think Swords is still adjusting to wearing the mask. Mila Holloway lead the way with 21 points 8 assists and 7 steals.

Harvard is a well coached team and they've been a quality midmajor under Carrie Moore, former Michigan assistant, and they put up a good fight for stretches despite being outmatched. The only takeaways were Sofilkanich is clearly the 4th best player on the team and the rebounding was lacking when she wasn't on the floor, which was more often than what will be appropriate in the serious games.

The first major test will be Notre Dame in Detroit, 15 November at 4:00 PM on NBC.

On the men's side, as of this post there's still a half off sale for tickets to Tuesday's Wake Forest game in Detroit. You have to buy at least two tickets though, so treat the veteran in your life to a game or something.

Turnovers (17 vs 20 assists), free throw shooting (25/37 67.6%), 3pt shooting (4/25 16.6%), and honestly rebounding, given the size advantage, (UM 50 vs WF 47) were awful. It's obviously too early to even pretend to overreact, but there's probably a reason WF was picked to finish 11th in the ACC.

On the positive side, had Michigan hit their free throws they win comfortably. Or had they shot a meager 30% from 3 they win comfortably, they bricked good looks. Lastly, for the love of God, please don't let Aday Mara end up on the Spurs whenever he goes pro.
