Microsoft is dropping various features and functionalities from its new build. In preparation for the release of the Fall Creators Update, Microsoft has published the full list of stories that will be removed or depreciated from the new build.

Removed features
3D Builder app

No continued installed by default. Consider working with Print 3D and Paint 3D in its home. 3D Builder will still be ready for download from the Windows Store.

Apndatabase.xml

For more data about the replacement database, see the next Hardware Dev Center articles: MO Process to update COSA, COSA FAQ

Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit (EMET)

Use will be limited. Consider using the Exploit Shield feature of Windows Defender Achievement Guard as a replacement.

Outlook Express

Excluding this non-practical legacy code.

Reader app

Functionality to be combined into Microsoft Edge.

Reading List

Functionality to be combined into Microsoft Edge.

Screen saver functionality in Themes

To be useless in Themes. Screen saver functionality in Group Policies, Control Panel, and Sysprep is now depreciated but continues to be working. Lock screen features and policies are preferred.

Syskey.exe

Removing this nonsecure security feature. BitLocker suggested instead. For more information, see the following Knowledge Base article:

4025993 Syskey.exe utility is no longer maintained in Windows 10 RS3 and Windows Server 2016 RS3

TCP Offload Engine

Excluding this legacy code. This functionality was earlier transitioned to the Stack TCP Engine.

Tile Data Layer

To be superseded by the Tile Store.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Owner Password Management

This legacy code to be excluded.

Deprecated features
IIS 6 Management Compatibility

Alternative scripting tools and a distinct control console recommended in its place.

IIS Digest Authentication

Alternative authentication systems recommended.

Microsoft Paint

RSA/AES Encryption for IIS

CNG encryption provider suggested instead.

Sync Your Settings

Backend changes: The popular sync process is being opposed. In a future release, the same film storage system for syncing frames will be used for both Enterprise State Roaming users and all other users. Currently, these users use different cloud storage systems.

System Image Backup (SIB) Solution

Full-disk backup from other vendors recommended instead.

TLS RC4 Ciphers

To be disabled by default. TLS Schannel SSP changes in Windows 10 and Windows Server 2016

Trusted Platform Module (TPM): TPM.msc and TPM Remote Management

To be changed by a new user interface in a future release.

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) Remote Management

This legacy code to be discontinued in a future release.

Windows Hello for Business deployment that uses System Center Configuration Manager

Windows Server 2016 Active Directory Federation Services — Registration Authority (ADFS RA) deployment is simple and provides a better user experience and a more informational certificate enrollment experience.

Windows PowerShell 2.0

Applications and modules should be migrated to PowerShell 5.0+.

But real talk, Ms Paint been goat tier for simple alterations to photos and I still use it to this day to post my screenshots as well as resize shyt with the Sketch/Skew and even alter text'n'shyt since it's simple as hell for that compared to using other shyt.

Hope someone makes a copy of some sort since I lowkey use it for alot of minor but important shyt.

Mine is called 'Paint 3D'.

You guys used paint to make smilies?

:lolbron: Nah, I'm fooling. I don't use paint to make smileys, I use gimp, but It has a bit of a learning curve when it comes to doing simple shyt like putting down text on a photo since you're dealing with layers and all that shyt and I just know the basics of cutting the background out of a pic and posting it in a 100x100 box.
full
For example, had me clearing away the background in Gimp and then going to paint to add the text and lines since it was simple compared to trying to do/findout how to in Gimp at the time.
full
Same with this one. Making minor edits like the glasses and cane using simple tools in paint helped make this shyt look the way it did. I guess this will just force me to have to learn how to do shyt like this in Gimp/Photoshop but really and truly, I never really wanted to since Paint is so easy to use when it comes to that sort.

I can't even download the new updates because I need 8 gb, but only have 6 gb free. I've deleted everything that I can. I wonder if I can move all the program files and what not to my portable drive and still not mess up my laptop
