when you cop a new gpu, why do you need the old one?
Same shyt with PC gamers breh. We sell our shyt when we buy new components.
@____ could put together a build that shyts all over the Neo for like $600. You don't have to buy the latest shyt to have the latest graphics on PC. The first breakdown I showed you was with the best of the best and meant for 1440p or 4K gaming. If we're just talking about 1080p gaming, the cost of a PC that can do high/ultra at 1080p/60fps is shytting all over the cost of a ps4 and ps4neo.
Just because me and some other people have multi-thousand dollar rigs, that doesn't mean everybody has to have a multi-thousand dollar rig to play games. shyt you could buy a 480x or a 1060 and be perfectly fine at all ultra 1080p.
It depends on what the NEO GPU inside will be, but I am assuming it will be a bit less than what the RX 480 is (4.2 TFLOPS vs 5 TFLOPS)...unless Sony changes the specs at the last minute.
I just made a build for someone for $270. Yeah it's an AMD built from scraps, but it will handle any game out there at the moment on medium at 1080P after overclocking and tweaking everything to it's full capabilities. Went with the Radeon GPU as they have seen quite a boost lately and you are not going to be able to find a GTX 750 Ti or 760 for $50.
Itemized:
R7 260X (7850 equivalent) - 2GB - $51.35
1TB SSHD - $29.99
AMD X4 760K + Board - $66.65
Zalman Heatsink for 760K overclock - $10
16GB RAM STICKS - 1866 - $50
Case with 450W PSU - $39.99 ($10 MIR)
CM Octane - $49.99 ($20 MIR)
Total upfront cost = $297.97 - $30 Mail in Rebates = $267.97
Gaming on the PC doesn't have to be as expensive as people think it is...especially at 900P-1080P that the console players play at. The funny thing about that build is that you could have dropped down 8GB RAM and go with the CM Devastator instead to bring the cost down a bit. Then squeeze in a brand new xbox one controller with a bluetooth dongle for a ~$300 system that will play any game on the market.
I think the toughest stressers for this build will be Hitman, Assassin's Creed and Witcher 3, but even those will run well if you know what you are doing. Remember...if you are targeting consoles your target is 30fps...which is obtainable on a potato PC like this one these days
