Microsoft seems to be going all in on RPGs with the Obsidian and inXile purchases

Most people here probably know of Obsidian, but inXile owns the Wasteland and Bard's Tale franchises, and they made Torment: Tides of Numenera. Playground Games is also rumored to be working on an open-world Fable game. If what Microsoft needs is single-player story-based games, looks like they're going to give us that.

I didn't know exactly who inXile was, but I definitely know one of their games I have on Steam...I loved Hunted: The Demon's Forge and you can tell that it had a spark even though the budget wasn't big...

Part of their problem is that they dont have a diverse fanbase. All their fanbase likes is shooters, Sony has a fanbase that likes a little bit of everything.

M$ can change their culture if they play their cards right.

Partly true. PlayStation likes big multiplayer shooters just as much as Xbox but we do have more fans of different types of games.

Xbox One needs more good RPGs. Even the 360 had titles like Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, and Blue Dragon.
