While the Xbox 360 was never popular in Japan with less than two million consoles sold in six years, it seems the Xbox One is already headed down that same path after a poll of ten thousand Japanese gamers showed that not a single one wanted an Xbox One.This informal poll conducted by students at the University of Hokkaido polled ten thousand gamers across the country as part of a statistics course. One student talked about the research in a post on his FC2 blog. He detailed the struggles of completing the project.
“We almost failed this class because of this poll,” wrote the student going under the translated username Blackened Sesame, “Damn Microsoft and their unappealing console. Our professor is dumb as hell and did not understand that literally no one in our country wants an Xbox One.”

“When we presented our results, the professor asked why the Xbox One showed zero,” continued the student, “I laughed and said it was because no one wants one. The professor then said that if we were going to fake our results, we should have used more reasonable numbers. Then he told us that we clearly did something wrong and gave us a second chance.”
“At that point, we just gave up and faked the numbers,” explained the student, “We passed. But these results are fukking legitimate. In fact, I did an experiment just to prove to myself how unwanted the Xbox One is. I started asking people the question the same way I did before, but this time I acted as if I was a Microsoft spokesperson. I started playing up the voice control and television features. I talked about how great the Kinect would be. No one said yes. Not a single person.”
He then went into great detail about how he approached the question in many different ways. He tried attacking the other consoles saying how the Wii U has poor graphics and how the PlayStation 4 has lousy games. Then he started making up false claims like how the Xbox One will actually only cost 20,000 yen (190 US dollars) and that it is ten times more powerful than the PlayStation 4. After a while, he just shortened the question to ‘are you interested in an Xbox One?’ but still not a single yes according to the student.
The student then gave up after a person said that they were looking forward to the Ouya.
So a student did a poll and found that no one gives a fukk about an xbox juan in Japan and the prof was so shocked/in denial that he hit the students with a
