:blessed:
Everything was lovely.
The environment, nature, the people

If you live in Ghana and have wealth to look after yourself, you will live like a king/queen.

Edit: heads up, get your shots beforehand.
If you didn't get your shots, the airport cannot keep you captive. Someone might bribe you to leave. (fukking bytch , I remember yo face :pacspit:)
Be friendly to the locals, however, they will know straight off the bat you are American. Some taxi drivers or street panhandlers will take advantage of it by bargaining with you or raise the price very high. Ask them to lower the price or you will do no exchange with them at all. If the taxi driver agrees, it will be good if you tip them with American change.
Dont eat food from the locals outside. Very unhygienic. Eat from actual restaurants. Be nice and tip.
Be wary of street panhandlers. Some will keep bargaining with you to buy something off of them or try to hustle you. IF you believe in superstition, some might put voodoo on you. They would even accept 1-2 dollar American. If you not, tell them "God bless you" and be on your way
Dont be too flashy with your choice of clothing. Dont be a walking moneybag.
Check out convenient stores for water, drinks, snacks, cereal, etc they cheaper. But, Go to supermarkets if you're actually going to chef something. But many of the food there will be pretty pricey.
Oh shyt-- DO NOT USE THE AIRPORT TO EXCHANGE MONEY. GO THE THE NATIONAL BANK.
If your place power is out, that means the village you staying at is having a temporary surge. Unless you have a backup generator, you might not have energy for the whole night.
It doesn't rain in Ghana, it POURS. Stay inside for rainy days.
If you're like me, you'll love the sounds of raindrops and streams at night.
If you smoke weed, do it on the low. Ghana looks down on potheads/stoners.
The weed is way different from here and your high will be more trippy ( well from my experience at least :whew:)
As for the police, they do not play. Some might be cool, some will offer a bribe to let you off the hook. Be careful and keep an eye out.

HOWEVER....

You will have fun. :mjlit::mjlol:
