Trump has the most extreme right winh policies in American history and he is beating Hilary Clinton when it comes to independents, but you somehow believe Pence being pro-life and against gay marriage he wold be doing worst. Trump has also cast out moderate republicans because of his alt-right views, Trump's saving grace is that his supporters would follow him down a volcano, so he never loses his base.

And Pence does not have that 'follow him down a volcano' appeal whatsoever is what people are saying.
