Someone posted all the coaches that were with him when he coached the Redskins.
It was a solid list of guys. Probably most of the guys in OP.

Zac Taylor is a Mike Sherman protege not a shanahan.
Kevin O'Connell is gruden tree

Robert Selah and Demeco aren't from Shanahan tree as they are defense coaches.

Selah is from Dan Quinn tree and he is from the dom capers tree.

Ryan's is also from the Quinn tree

Why doesn't Mike Tomlin have a coaching tree if he been coaching for nearly 2 decades now?

He is happy being the only brother in the room.

Dungy, dennis, Hue, and Marvin set the blueprint and sadly a lot of the guys following after them were content to shut the door.
DeMeco looks like he is giving folks a chance though.
Herm had black coaches too.

I don't know any black coaches that came from under Caldwell or Tomlin.

:why:

Pretty sure the Tomlin's current DC and Interim OC are both brotha's. He also was the first to hire Flores as an Assistant Coach when most of the league saw him as persona non-grata.

RE: MT Coaching tree-

Outside of OC, the Steelers haven't had that much turnover on the coaching staff. They also tend to hire older folks, who are pretty content in their role in the Org.

Nevertheless, I get the feeling that next year they will be targeting a much younger OC. Someone with HC aspirations.

Flores was already a head coach and failed when Tomlin hired him. Stop it.

Tomlin has been coaching for over a decade and has not coaching tree whatsoever and has never put anyone on as even junior coaches.

It's interesting because there's no consensus on what defines someone being part of a tree.

Breh, Flores was unemployed and basically black balled from the league until MT called him back up. Pretty well documented.

I've also explained to you why he doesn't have a huge coaching tree.

But continue on slandering the black man, since you do not seem to care.

McVay goes out of his way to say he's from the Gruden tree/system.

Jon gave him his first job in Tampa when Bruce Allen worked there. Bruce introduced Mike Shanahan to McVay and they hired him but he didn't make any real traction and get OC/play calling responsibilities until he was under Jay, that led to him getting the Rams job.
