I didn't read much, but that is what I saw years ago. Looks to be the fictional work of a few hopeful LGBTQ members that were pushing for him to be gay.

Given that, the trailer looks nice.

It almost looks like the best of both worlds. Trailer looks like a filmed real world setting with a "comicbook flourish" filter over it.
That said I'm pretty sure it's %100 cgi
