Nah, they won't back off for a while. They are just going to change tactics. The federal government still doesn't have enough of a propagandist hold over their federal agents to a point where they will willingly engage the people in a hardcore hot war FOR REASONS LIKE THIS. It's not a viewpoint, just throwing out that the government is a tyrant isn't a viewpoint it's just senseless babble. There is no intelligent discussion going on there, why? And there were issues of overgrazing that allotment before 1994. It is my opinion that the BLM and the Park Service have done everything possible administratively to try to resolve the issue amicably. In addition, there are two federal court rulings upholding the agencies’ position, and the most recent ruling demanded Bundy not physically interfere with any seizure or impoundment operation.

Bundy has no guaranteed rights on federal land. He only has rights to what he owns privately, yet when you hear him talk, he considers that he has some intergenerational rights to use more than 158,000 acres as he sees fit. And this is some of the most beautiful and important public land in America. What a deal. Wouldn’t any of us like to have such rights?

Apparently he has repeatedly issued threats about starting a fukking ranch war like some kind of cowboy idiot. He bolsters about hating government and being an overall looney.

Bundy just sent off some cowboys to go retrieve his cattle from BLM's possession. It's not clear if the BLM is allowing him to do this or if he's trying to pick a fight to get them back.
