You have it backwards, they made more money so only half the population had to work.

Sadly the cost of living requires most people to work now and the kids suffer for it.
Yep kids used to work summer jobs to save for cars. When I was in college farms kids would work the harvest and make enough to cover college for th year. Now college is way too expensive and they pay illegal immigrants under the table way less to do that work.

big business benefits by getting two workers for the price of one from every household.. back in the 50s, one worker could support his family by working 40 hours a week.. now both the husband and wife have to work. that's what happens when you double the workforce. you push down the price of labor.

And also when women work their kids go to school earlier.. indocrinating them.

Welfare and crack broke the black family down
This sounds believable but I don’t think it’s true. Even with under employed in some sectors like IT wages are stagnant.

Our society is gatekept by the elite. You can go to school, graduate, and hit the career field and someone has to decide you're worthy to work a well paying job. You need experience for anything that isn't crap even fresh out of college. You go to school to get a job and when you go looking for one you aren't experienced enough.

My parents were boomers and shyt my uncle was making over $100K a year working for GM and shyt with no skills or college education. Today that's gonna be tough as hell.

Millennials are gonna be the first generation that's worst off than their parents.

College is only a good investment if you don't have to pay more than 20 percent. :yeshrug: Tf I look like taking on 100k worth of debt to hopefully making the amount in one year in my 40s.

Boomers got to go to college when it was much cheaper and Gov backed loans were available. Homes were a lot less expensive and you didn't need a college degree to earn a decent income. Also black boomers got the benefits of the Civil Rights Movement and the jobs that came with it.

I know yall tired of me posting this dude but.........

I live in a predominantly minority middle class neighborhood but some 40 year guy on YouTube looking for clickbait says a middle class for blacks doesn’t exist:ohhh:

The biggest problem this generation has is being horrible with there own money

I mean obviously the black middle class exist but it's not a major part of the black population
Examining the Black-white wealth gap
A close examination of wealth in the U.S. finds evidence of staggering racial disparities. At $171,000, the net worth of a typical white family is nearly ten times greater than that of a Black family ($17,150) in 2016
Now you tell me if the average black family has a net worth of not even $20K how prominent can that middle class be? You understand that there are fewer black families and that average is skewed by the super rich black people.

It’s really sad, if you didn’t make the right moves EARLY right after the first recession some might never get ahead. I’m one of the few lucky ones but I’m also more of a Xennial than anything else. We just made correct move after correct move and here I am today, my sister is only a year younger, same upbringing and she has nothing to show for it and she’s turning 36 in a few months :beli:
