I call BS as there have recently been a lot of properties going for over $1M in Chicago, as an active participant in the Chicago real estate arena that's insane, Chitown turning into Socal basically.

Need to see the internals of the report.

Leave Chicago as in moving to Highland Park or the burbs? Or leaving the state.

From my personal experience, I know of 2 people who are millionaires that have left the city in the last 2 years. One to the west coast and another to Memphis. Both of these were business owners. I definitely believe that among millionaires that are truly mobile (meaning their business etc is not tied to a particular city), you will continue to see them leaving Chicago outright. Even though the City is quickly becoming a playground for the rich, there are so many entrenched issues that will not be addressed anytime soon, that some people will just say fukk it and leave.
