If you're 66 in 2023, that means you lived through the 2008-2022 real estate boom and atleast 2 of the greatest bull runs in stock market history (1987-2000) and (2009-2021). If you retired broke you're just a dumbass and made bad decisions your whole life. This is another thing people can keep in mind. Even if you "only" have let's say 500k for retirement and your 65. You can move overseas where you can live lavishly off of 1.5k a month.
