A 30-year-old jogger reported missing by her dad Tuesday afternoon was found dead in a marsh off the Belt Parkway less than half a mile away from her Queens home, police sources said.
The woman, identified by neighbors as Karina Vetrano, was discovered deep in the marshes near 161st Ave. and 78th St. in Howard Beach Tuesday night, after cops conducted a massive search for her.
Police found her cell phone near a bike path there and discovered her body closer to the shoreline.
Cops were investigating the scene into Wednesday morning, and are trying to determine if she was the victim of foul play.
Her father, Philip Vetrano, reported her as missing at 5 p.m., police sources said.
Neighbors said her dad is a retired FDNY firefighter.
Cops investigate the marsh off the Belt Parkway, where the 30-year-old's body was discovered.

Vetrano earned a master’s degree from St. John’s University in 2015, and worked as a caterer at the Vetro Lounge in Howard Beach, her neighbors said.
She described herself as a “thrill seeker” and "day dreamer” on her Instagram page, where friends posted messages mourning her death Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.
Dead man, 57, found sitting on park bench in Brooklyn
“She used to go jogging with her father,” said a neighbor, who identified himself only as John. “If the weeds were not that tall, we would of seen the girl jogging on the path ... You can grab that girl, and we wouldn't know it.’”
Vetrano’s family declined comment as reporters gathered outside her Howard Beach home late Tuesday.

The 30-year-old beauty found murdered along a Queens jogging path was discovered by her panicked father, who had reported her missing just hours earlier, police sources said Wednesday.
Victim Karina Vetrano was strangled and had scrapes on both her legs when her dad Philip Vetrano, a retired firefighter, discovered her body in the marshes near 161st Ave. and 78th St. in Howard Beach late Tuesday.
Vetrano went out for a jog near Gateway National Park about 5 p.m.. When she didn’t come back after two hours, her father reported her missing.

There have been no arrests related to the case.
