If Sochan had superstar talent we would have seen it by now. He’s either gotta come out the gate HOT to start the season or Zach Lowe is right.

I’ve been optimistic about Sochan but I have to admit he’s not a guy you really NEED. Especially if he’s not gonna flash this Draymond Green-like ability to defend.

It'll be a prove it year for Sochan for sure. I'm actually glad that (for now) they seem content to let him play out the last year of his deal before making a decision on re-upping him. If he doubles his value through his play this year, that likely means we're a potential 2nd round playoff team.

When he's healthy and not being forced to play out of position he's one of the best players we have.

Pre All Star break he averaged 11.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 2.5 assists on 54% from the field and 34% from three while dealing with injuries. Shot 70% in the paint and him and Wemby are great on the floor together (110.6 offensive rating and 107.1 defensive rating when on court together)
