they were 9th in defensive rating in the regular season. they got worse each successive year that barkely was there but that 92-93 suns team wasnt the awful defensive team theyre portrayed to be. they werent the most disciplined defensive team, but they werent devoid of athleticism and they had a pretty good duo of shot blockers at center in oliver miller and mark west.

both jordan and pippen shot a lower pct from the field vs the suns than they did a year earlier vs the blazers and the blazers were 3rd in defensive rating that year, yet people love to mention how the suns defense was somehow one of the worst of all time.
