This is like an NFL superstar fustrated with his rookie deal trying to get an early extension.

MJF is making 6 figures and he knows he should be making 7 figures. Tony should just pay him. He's too valuable to let him hit free agency. WWE will run up the price in 2024.

I don't know what he makes but Tony Khan really should do some NFL shyt and offer him an extension right now with a material increase.

There is a reason these stories keep surfacing.

This my read on it. Thing is if he reups one person he gotta reup 6 or 7 people. That's probably a game Tony is not trying to play.

But he doesn't though. At MOST he would be compelled to lock up Darby Allin but realistically WWE probably wants no parts of him. Very few (nobody) has value from the original crop of AEW wrestlers as MJF does.

I don't think anybody's talking about AEW originals when thinking about this scenario lol

I brought up a few months ago that AEW's top salary (Punk) is around a 2022 higher mid WWE talent's and said even if WWE is only a little interested it's worth going after MJF full stop, if for nothing else but to watch Tony match. If Tony matches a 3-5 mil offer, MJF's now making Danielson/Punk money. Even if you're thinking the future he doesn't have that value rn so that means you have to restructure those two. Then what about Jericho, Moxley, Bucks, Omega, etc.

I don't think it's cut & dry. I think if WWE offered 4 or more Tony's not matching, otherwise a deal would've already been done. Folks were talking "the new TV deal will make up for it" but that was before the turnover with Discovery taking over

If Tony restructures MJF's deal then he has to do the same with Starks, Wardlow, Hobbs and everyone else WWE has interest in. Then he's going to have to deal with other talent asking for more money in the middle of their contracts as well.

Tony will offer him an extension when his deal is close to expiring but if WWE wants to give MJF $5million to be the MIz's jewish cousin then you let him walk.

Yeah but that's not accounting for the human element even if he reups only Jerhico, MOX,and MJF right now there's gonna be a line outside of his office.

I know places that I worked at when raises were given out and people were missed most started to feel some type of way about it..
