WTFisWallace?
All Star
One of the most selfless humans to walk this earth…Dr. King was a real one for real man. Brother was barely, if even, 40 and was getting ish done. He had his issues, as any person does, but he was FOR black Americans!! He was for the POOR!
When he was trying to get justice and equality for black folk, they didn’t like him, but he stayed alive…once he started advocating for REAL action, this, the poor people’s movement, they couldn’t let him live, bc his message was gonna impact and affect ALL poor folk of all colors…why was he even in Memphis when he died? What was he down there to do? You’ll understand a lot about him once you get that…
Sad, bc not many have had the courage and voice to pick up where he left off…it became VERY real then…wonder if we’ll ever see someone like him again? America has pretty much made sure there can’t be…
As someone who’s atheist/agnostic….the man really embodied what it is and means to be Christ like, even thru the flaws.
Initially, before knowing much about him…I kinda viewed him as a “hopeful” & optimist in humanity becoming better. But after reading “Where Do We Go from Here”….I realized even moreso how pragmatic & a realist he was. I feel that he was so much of that, that it makes the respect you have for him and the persistence in the movements, much greater.
A level of maturity & long term community thoughtfulness that is rarely seen in public figures.
