Latest info has dude looking shaky AF:
A lawyer from a prominent South Carolina legal family who found his wife and son shot to death at their home three months ago and was injured days ago when a bullet grazed his head as he changed a tire was taking money from his law firm, the business said late Monday.

The statement from PMPED law firm came hours after Alex Murdaugh said he was resigning and entering rehab.

The PMPED law firm said it will hire an accounting firm to fully review its books. It didn’t say how much money might be missing, but said Murdaugh was no longer associated with them in any way.
Full story here: South Carolina lawyer whose wife, son were fatally shot resigns, enters rehab as alleged theft is disclosed

He got caught stealing from his law firm and was on the verge of getting fired when he was shot. The word is now that the gunshot wounds to the head were all 'superficial'. If breh faked a murder attempt on his life to get the press off his back, he really looks sus for his family being merked while under investigation...

I sense a Netflix Doc or at the least a podcast spin off either way

(Shout out to the people who enter this thread blind and see the increasingly chaotic updates)
In a stunning turn of events, a South Carolina man was charged Tuesday with shooting troubled attorney Alex Murdaugh in the head in an assisted-suicide plot to funnel $10 million in insurance money to his surviving son.

The alleged conspiracy was laid out in court documents released after Curtis Edward Smith, 61, was collared for the botched Sept. 4 shooting, which Murdaugh, 53, survived.

“Mr. Murdaugh supplied Mr. Smith with a firearm and directed Mr. Smith to shoot him in the head,” the affidavit said.

The affidavit indicates that Murdaugh confessed to the scheme on Monday and named Smith as the shooter. Smith then admitted to being there and getting rid of the gun, the document says.
