Prosecutors said the mom of Demetrius Washington cooperated with cops. The mom, pictured leaving a Manhattan courtroom Thursday, declined to give her name.
Cops had help tracking down the gunman accused of killing a peacemaker at the Polo Grounds Houses — the murder suspect’s mom.
Demetrius Washington’s mother “cooperated” with the NYPD’s Warrant Squad who picked up her son at a Bronx diner, prosecutors said Thursday at his arraignment.
“He ultimately was apprehended with the cooperation of his mother who was meeting him for breakfast,” Assistant District Attorney Antoinette Carter said in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Washington, 19, of the Bronx, is charged with gunning down 18-year-old Jordan Barber as the doomed teen tried to make peace between two beefing groups by the Harlem housing development on June 29.
Barber died from a gunshot wound to the chest that pierced his lung, according to the accused shooter’s criminal complaint.
Another person was shot in the shoulder and a third was struck by a bullet in the thigh.

Jordan Barber, 18, was shot and killed as he tried to stop two groups from fighting.
After the arraignment, Washington’s mother, who declined to give her name, vehemently denied playing a role in her kid's arrest.
“No one ever came to the house about this case at all,” she said, declining to give her name.
Washington’s lawyer, Eric Sears, said, “My understanding is that he was with his mom when they arrested him.”
He said he was not aware of any help the mom gave in apprehending Washington.
The defendant was ordered held without bail. He faces murder and attempted murder charges.
