What kind of system do you got going on?

Will you change the way you spend money in 2016?

I just started the cash envelope system this month. Which is were you categorize the important things you need to pay each month or just periodically. You basically add money to your envelopes as often as you need to so that when it comes time to pay that actual bill, such as rent you either will have it paid or have a chunk of it paid off.

Me, myself and I
I have different ways that I budget, depending on what's going on in my life. I adjust accordingly. Most of my bills are automatically taken out of my account.

First, I pay myself. No matter what, I make sure I put money into my savings. I put away a minimum amount, and sometimes I end up putting away more. It depends on what's going on in my life.

I like to take a trip or spoil myself every few months so I budget for that as well.

Food, shopping, entertainment, etc are spent as I go along.
I cook more now, don't eat out alot and have cut down on useless shopping so I don't spend too much in these areas.

Basically this.

I put almost all extra money into savings and allow myself a weekly spending amount for food/gas/entertainment.

Only eat out on dates with the lady. Other than that, cook at home.

I use excel spreadsheets to manage. Basically I log in all of my bills (company name, date bill is due, amount and if there is an apr, I'll include that). The left over goes into savings and I also have a budget play for my entertainment stuff; ie. movies, bars, clubs and etc.
