What kind of system do you got going on?

Will you change the way you spend money in 2016?

I just started the cash envelope system this month. Which is were you categorize the important things you need to pay each month or just periodically. You basically add money to your envelopes as often as you need to so that when it comes time to pay that actual bill, such as rent you either will have it paid or have a chunk of it paid off.
:ohhh:That's a good idea

Man in his mid 30s talking

Write all your essential monthly expenses.

Look at your monthly take home pay

Determine how much money you want to save, if any

Write down your monthly expenses and savings into separate numbers and look at them, memorize them.

Whatevers left over after your essentials are paid for can be used for entertainment.

Very simple.

I just downloaded this app yesterday. Has it been a big help to you?
I'm terrible with saving so yeah it helped me budget for a really expensive vacation, gave me info about better cards, and savings accts with a better APR than the one I had. It also showed me how much money I throw away on eating out and other bullshyt.

Also shows me my credit score, gives me bill reminders, shows my networth, 401k...etc :ehh:

Sounds like I made a good decision. I'm gonna go ahead and register.

I too use mint. Let's me see all my accounts and what my balances are. That way if I've been spending too much on a credit card, I know I gotta cut down until the next paycheck. I also set budgets on stuff like fast food and restaurants so I limit the unnecessary spending. Always pay myself first tho. And make sure the necessary bills are paid. Can't fukk up the credit score cuz of one missed payment.
