Charlie Sheen and Chris Tucker are back as Brett Ratner and New Line Cinema gets ready to produce Money Talks 2, sequel to the 1997 comedy. Exactly 15 years after the original, James Russell (Sheen) is now a national news anchor for a major network after breaking the final story during sweeps. Separated from his wife (Heather Locklear, due to contractual obligations), Russell is working on up-to-date news and information at a Republican National Convention party where upon leaving he gets into the wrong limousine filled with drugs and guns intended to cause a frenzy. As 'the people' come to retrieve the money and find an albeit clueless and 'freaked out' Russell in the limousine, they take him to a warehouse where they beat him up and tell him to call his "Republican buddies" and get them their money by any means. Russell calls the one person he knows that can get him out of a jam. Chris Tucker reprises his role as Franklin Hatchett/Vic Damone Jr (now with a child of his own) and has to steal the car (with the drugs and money) get it back to the RNC party, get the money and pay off the goons as well as help Russell get the breaking story once again, while shouting humorous lines and being comically out of place in this comedy slated for the early part of 2014.

We all know it ain't gonna be as good as the original, but it could still be a decent comedy nonetheless. I do agree though that it should have been done years ago.
