I don't have a car right now. In your opinion when will it be ok to get a car? When will inflation get tamed?
You might get lucky toward the end of the year. But I don't see inflation getting tamed anytime soon. Or you can try your luck at car auctions in your city. Most people are holding on to their older cars.

This video shows some of the tricks dealers are pulling and inventory issues. Buying a few years ago you could fleece Dealers because they were so desperate. They took almost 9K off MSRP on my 2019 Q50. Mainly because I kept haggling with them for several months until they met my price. But now these Dealers know they have the upper hand.

8 grand on a 4 year car, jesus, how many miles?
20k... I knew what I wanted my note to be and moved accordingly.
The car market is nuts right now and I got a deal after looking for 2 months so I jumped on it.
I had the money in reserve.just for situations like that so the shyt wasnt no biggie.
I'm with a credit union so I was able to handle the balance at 3.5%.

1. Too many people getting in these Germans because they can make the dollar amount payment/relying on dual income to "make it work".

2. No more cars under 20K or used cars under 10K worth a damn.

People don't buy cars, they buy payments. The car manufacturers know this and hence they have long ass financing terms. Folk financing cars over 8 years and shyt. And the cars they come out with are get smaller and more expensive.

I know that. If you need 8 years you can't afford the car. Really I'd say 6 years.

lol Mazda and Hyundai are high too, the palisade is in short supply and all those mazda suv's/crossovers are highly ranked as they begin to go into entry luxury space. I pay 475 on a 72 month lease for 2022 VW Taos, I couldn't shop around like I wanted because my car died on me and needed to buy something, also wasn't going to buy used as I'm overpaying for a used car.
A base Elantra goes for 20K brand new, and they along with Kia have the best warranties in the industry.

Go a step further, and you'll see that a Hyundai Accent costs 16K. shyt, you can get the premier Elantra trim for 25K.

The only real negative for them is that their dealerships love to try and slap "market adjustments" onto the sticker price. Don't go for that shyt...

Best time to buy a car was during the pandemic because sales had plummeted. Thats when I bought because dealers we're desperate. I knew things would change once demand increased so I bought in 2019.

If you thought cars we're expensive before. It's gonna be ridiculous until inflation gets tamed.
Covid didn't hit a pandemic till 2020. Your dates are off.
