Being at 'war' doesn't mean attacking 24/7. There are breaks, lulls, etc., where sides are moving troops and materiel, planning next moves, resupplying, and a host of other mundane tasks.​

When they broadcast what was happening when we first started Operation: Desert Storm, the vast majority of the footage came from 1-3 days of actual fighting but we were there for MONTHS. The biggest danger we faced was boredom.​
