Personally, I think I’m at my lowest levels of nba enjoyment of alltime. Not trying to start a coli fight:hubie:. I know how y’all nikkas get when someone says they ain’t enjoying something you love:pachaha:. To each his own. The games I’ve attempted to watch, I haven’t enjoyed

Teams are just chasing the math.

3 points is worth more than 2.
If you can make the 3s at a high enough percentage, it's the better shot to take.

If you move the 3 point line back or eliminated it entirely, the math would change and strategy would adjust.

You could say "well the 3 was around in the 1980s and they didnt shoot them".

Yeah. Well, it took a while for teams to recognize its true value.

As has been stated a few times, the players have outgrown the dimensions of the court. They’re too big, too athletic, and too good at shooting. NBA should probably look into some actual changes to court dimensions. Moving the line back, and expanding the baseline so corner 3s are longer.

This is the nature of sports. People are slow to try shyt and lean on what they know/what has been proven. Once it is proven, they are copycats. The name of the game is to win...not to be different just because or preserve some shyt that doesn't work anymore. And I say this as a person that remains against the 3pt revolution. Thats mostly becuase of what led to it and the fact that it wasnt organic.

There will always be change. There will always be old nikkas that dont like it and there will always be the kids that love it because they dont know anything else. People didnt like the slower, iso ball heavy shyt that took over in the 90s. Now you got an entire generation that views that as the end all be all and the way the game should be played.
