and for the record, i appreciate shai's mid range/post fade game. in a lot of ways i think both of these finals teams are the next logical evolution of analytics/d'antoni ball (incorporating more mid range/realistic shot selection into the 7 secs & analytic hoops) but got damn we took the foul baiting meta too far.

edit: i think really what really upsets me is the reactionary nature of the current nba. chet is just a good example because he was trash all series until tonight but winning a chip has more sway over how his potential as a player & general game is viewed than actually watching him play. and when games are decided more and more by bullshyt then it makes for some really annoying narratives.
even though it wasn't that long ago i feel like the refs/nba weren't on the shyt they are now when harden was doing what he was doing. he was getting buckets in a more conservatively officiated league and the contrast makes my eyes feel lied to sometimes.
