They're all clowns. Kristol is bitter as fukk, but he's right - Morning Joe certainly didn't hold Trump accountable early on and you can hear it in the off air tapes that came out where they all sounded very friendly.

At one time Joe was joking about running with Trump. He used to come on that show spewing his nonsense with virtually no push back. I think they started challenging him just like the rest of the media after he went after the Khan family.
Now Joe and crew is trying to rewrite history.
This whole election season has been one big joke.
Trump was right about Mika -- she's so neurotic. Why does she have to sit so close to Joe?
Morning joe is so full of shyt. Trump basically treated that show like he does o'reily & hannity. Trump treated that show like his own political informercial.
Joe also hates the Clinton's with a passion and opens up every show looking for his co hosts to give him a trump plausible victory. Mika, who makes all of those weird facial expressions and wears more makeup than a corpse in a funeral home claims she wants HRC to win but she went on a couple rants in the last two weeks. It's classic hedging your bets. This whole election season will go down as the most deplorable. We all lost.

Not that I'm a follower of the show, but I've seen enough of it to know Mika takes all of her cues from Joe. I'm surprised she's a registered Democrat. I don't know about the clip where Joe said he was drawing parallels to Hitler with Trump a long time ago, but yeah, Morning Joe was giving Trump carte blanche for a long time during the primaries. That was one of his main stops. He was always calling in and they weren't challenging him on anything.

Change is inevitable...
Joe knew deep down that Trump had no shot to win the Presidency as a National Candidate but would make it because the Republican field was weak as shyt and because the party is in shambles and has been at a National level since Bush.
Second, like many other outlets, he realized that Trump was a gold mine for ratings. The man has and continues to say the first thing that comes out of his mouth when the cameras are on him. Scarborough knew that he didn't want to be cut off from access to Trump or his campaign so he moved extremely carefully, especially if you take into consideration that the Trump Campaign barred a number of media outlets from having access to the Donald for the entirety of his campaign.
Finally, and people need to know this, Scarborough has and will continue to always want the ability to have the option of running for the White House on the table. He's literally using his show and all these years of interviewing favorable people as well as dummies for the sake of Marketing Research. What does his audience "want"? What are the issues at the particular moment? Does it even matter what they want or can he simply cast Pol Spells to "tell" the people what they REALLY want.
This shyt is all just poetry in motion...its Marketing at its finest...where you can't even tell its Marketing unless you know how to spot it.
And really that's all Politics is: marketing but at an extremely high level.
