There’ll probably be waivers by the Treasury Department when the rule making starts.

The used EV credit of $4,500 doesn’t have the mineral and battery requirement but this’ll probably mean car dealers will get to pocket the rebate.

And the reason the Consumer Protection Bureau doesn’t have oversight on car dealers is because when Dodd Frank was passed in 2010, a Republican Congressman, John Campbell, who was on the House Financial Committee, was a Saab dealer and collecting rents on the dealerships in his district! He got a carve out to exempt CFPB from this oversight.

The FTC has some oversight though and state consumer protection agencies…

But we also want more jobs in this country which this law is trying to force.

comes off as a grift there aren’t a lot of EVs on that list. fukk Tesla that about cuts the 1st list in half.
