I would argue the Kings are trying really hard to top teams like the Clippers and my Knicks as the most disrespected team in the NBA

Football...the Redskins should be the least respected if they're not. They're as dysfunctional as any team Ive ever seen, they're name and logo are racist and their quarterbacks are :trash:

Breh been watching the NBA since 93 so miss me with that. I personnaly don't care for what happened when the league had 8 teams or whatever, and I know that the Lakers gave the Spurs that work many times. Doesn't change the fact that the Spurs is the best run team in the league for yes, two decades, while the Lakers have had their fair share of bad seasons/management decisions in that period.

go back 3 decades and tell me who has more titles. i'll wait.

if you want to start from the 2000's we still have more titles as well.

the only reason spurs have had "consistent" success is because david robinson got hurt that one year and they got tim duncan out of it which allowed them to keep going. same thing happened with the colts in the NFL with peyton and then Luck. take away duncan over that time and the spurs are nothing. :yeshrug:

and if you want to remove the years where the league only had 8 teams, aka the years where the celtics got all their glory, then no on in the NBA even comes close to the Lakers overall success.

Breh, we get it you're a Lakers fan, it's all good. Your point of "take away Duncan and they're nothing" is irrelevant because same can be said for every single successful team in the NBA. What have the Lakers done without Magic, Kareem, Kobe or Shaq?

And no in the last 20 years no one is seeing the Spurs in terms of consistency, come on breh just the past couple Laker seasons have been an embarassement, and I'm a Kobe stan.

PS : Lakers have 5 titles in the last two decades and 7 Finals appearances, while the Spurs have as many titles (5) with just one less (6) Finals appearances.

I'll give you the 70s and 80s, eras I didn't follow. Early 90s might be a wash but ever since Spurs have won as many titles and more RS games than the Lakers.

i took away one player, you listed 4 and that isn't even all of our superstars. i think that's the difference.

and i just don't understand why this ranking has to be set to the past 20 years? you're literally just not including the years in which the spurs weren't shyt. i get it, in the past 20 years the spurs have had a more consistent team because they've managed to have mostly the same players during that time and even then their success hasn't been that much greater than the Lakers(the goal is to win a championship and we have as many as they do).

And the difference is precisely that the Spurs have been able to be the most consistent team in the NBA for twenty years with ONE superstar. The rest is very good drafting, coaching, and teamwork.

I say over the past twenty years as MY pov, those are the years I've followed the NBA the closest. I personnaly don't "rate" things I haven't seen. I'm a Knicks fan and I don't care one bit about the two titles we won in the 70s, because I didn't witness them. We haven't won anything since I've been following them. FOR ME the best the Knicks have done is reach the Finals in 94 and 99. (hint : emphasis on FOR ME). And no matter what they've done in the 70s, we've clearly been one of the worst managed and less respected teams for the past 20-something years, with reason.
