Real talk, for the past twenty years, San Antonio has been the best team in the league at developing players and getting the absolute best out of every player on their squad.
Outside of Tim Duncan, no other player that they've acquired since Tim Duncan has been a guy you can say had natural all-star talent...Tony Parker came in the league with no jumper and limited ball-handling...and he's become a Finals MVP, perennial all-star, best finishing PG in the league and overall top 5 PG in the league. Big nose Ginobili almost didn't even get drafted and dude was arguably a top 10 SG in the league during a time when Kobe, TMac, Ray Allen, and Vince Carter were in their primes. Then they had nikkas like Gary Neal putting in work. They got Splitter putting in work. They got Patty Mills putting in work. They resurrected fat ass Diaw's career. They got meaningful minutes from low bball IQ Belinelli all year. And I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting.
The Spurs ability to get the most of their players and develop them is extraordinary and one of the main reasons they've been so successful, imo.
