I kinda want to see everyone's opinions on this, as well as everyone's definition of "underrated'. This can be current players or past players
I actually compiled my own list of the 50 most overlooked/underrated players of all time and have been doing an extensive write up on it. My #1 pick was Sterling Sharpe. His prime is one of the best in NFL history and for his 7 year career, he averaged 85 receptions, 1162 yards, and 9 TDs for every season he played. Yet he barely registered a blip on the NFL radar in the early 90s and was forced to retire just as Brett Favre entered his prime. He wont ever be a Hall of Famer, but he sure as hell played like one during his time and likely would have been in if he had been able to play an 11-12 year career instead
