I kinda want to see everyone's opinions on this, as well as everyone's definition of "underrated'. This can be current players or past players

I actually compiled my own list of the 50 most overlooked/underrated players of all time and have been doing an extensive write up on it. My #1 pick was Sterling Sharpe. His prime is one of the best in NFL history and for his 7 year career, he averaged 85 receptions, 1162 yards, and 9 TDs for every season he played. Yet he barely registered a blip on the NFL radar in the early 90s and was forced to retire just as Brett Favre entered his prime. He wont ever be a Hall of Famer, but he sure as hell played like one during his time and likely would have been in if he had been able to play an 11-12 year career instead

I really don't think you hear Marcus Allen's name enough when talking about GOAT players or even GOAT runningbacks. His last (15th) season he had 11 TDs. He is still number six all time touchdowns.

He only had three 1,000 yard seasons ...

He had 4 elite years, and then hung around a long time, so his career numbers look pretty good. But he didn't have enough years at the top, IMO
