I know a lot of us like to debate about our console of choice but this is a clear look at what really brings in the veiws, eyes and sales.


It's not the uncharted's or horizon's it's not the Halo's and gears.

Its the brands like Sonic, star wars and the multi platform games.

Same goes for Elden Ring

God of war ragnarok has the most views out of the sony showcase this fall, and thats above spider-man, wolverine, and Star Wars


This doesn’t really prove anything. You can’t really lump these games in with Hellblade or gears

You cant compare new game announcements to game that we are already bored to see.
im sure that if one of the big ips (halo, uncharted, tlou) was premiered at the VGA , it would have been the most or 2nd most watched trailer.

I haven’t checked for a sonic game since Dreamcast but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit the movie had me excited for the new game.

will check for Wonder Woman as well. It’s about time she got a game. Need a non vr iron man game too.

Brands as in sony 1st party games lol….God of War, Uncharted, Last of Us, Horizon, all those games have way more views for their launch and gameplay trailers than the trailers shown at the game awards in the op. I’m not really seeing how you think any of those third party multiplat games are crushing them in views, they aren’t. I could go and collect each and every video and add them up like Benji is doing and they will all put up big numbers.

Thats the power of good marketing and branding, you can make your non licensed games just as popular as the licensed games.

I can literally keep going on and on with these and these are just from the official playstation account I’m not adding up all the same videos like Benji is doing.

The only argument being made in the op is that the latest horizon trailer wasn’t the most viewed amongst two dozen new game trailers. The new horizon trailer added up now is over 1.4m
