White people are always stealing from us. No surprise here.
I mean people always say Immitation is the highest form or flattery. So i appreciate the sh!t in that sense.
The objection i have is they dont know the meaning of a single word they are saying and therefore will never appreciate it and put their soul into it as the say it.

I've always been a big fan of folklorik and rasin genre

Culture vulture. They will never understand, doesnt matter how many time they studied or imitate us they will always have no culture and a need to swarm in others. just admire from far but they cant do that its not in the blood
Please watch the whole vid. Sh!t is hillarious. Even the black girl on there have no rythm

The black girl at the 2:59 minute mark TRIES but still fails by my standards :pachaha:. They'd need to go to Haiti and in woods in L'Artibonite to witness reall lwa danses

Ah well, I'm pretty sure 98% of Haitians that grew up in the US don't know what Gede Nibo means either.

LOL! You;re probably right.

I grew up in Haiti and didnt know until I heard a song by Carolle Demesmin when i was like... 10 maybe?

It was the song singing "Papa Gede bel gason". I later found out it was a remake of a hit by Lumane Casimir. Anyway, I heard the song and i loved the lyrics and i started singing it and my dad asked me where i learned that from.
I asked my parents what it meant and they wouldnt tell me. One of my dad's employees' daughter eventually broke it down for me
