The Mulkey Brothers, Randy and Bill Mulkey were mainstays on the popular 80s wrestling program, NWA World Championship Wrestling.... which was broadcast out of the world famous Techwood Drive Studio in Atlanta every Saturday night. And although lacking any speck of wrestling ability :mjlol: these handsome, hurculean Mulkeys were one of the most popular jobber teams in history. Something about these 2 pasty white, :mjpls: mullet-headed, chain-smoking, out of shape jobbers drew worldwide mass appeal. And it was March 28th, 1987 that Randy and Bill Mulkey gave the fans what they had been wanting for years.... a victory. The winless Mulkeys had made a living out of getting the hell kicked out of them by the likes of the Andersons, The Midnight Express, The Road Warriors, and just about any other tag team that existed back in the 80s in the old NWA/WCW. However, a masked team known as The Gladiators (hyped for weeks by Tony Schiavonne as the "West Coast Champions") were to face the Mulkeys on this fateful evening in 1987 (making their NWA debut)..... the winner of this contest would go onto Baltimore to wrestle at the Crockett Memorial Cup. When the bell rang The Gladiators began to make mince meat out of the jobbers Mulkey. But in a strange turn of events... one of the Gladiators attempted to suplex Bill Mulkey, tripped over Randy Mulkey who was trying to get to his feet after having been given a backbreaker by the other Gladiator... Bill Mulkey lands on top of the Gladiator and gets the 1-2-3!!! :russ: The Mulkeys then went on to the Crockett Cup where they resumed their beatings at the hands of Todd Champion and Denny Royal... The last we know of the Mulkeys is that they had a rematch w. The Gladiators on Januray 14th, 2006 in Spartanburg S.C. for a federation called CCW. No info is known on the results of the rematch
