A few things worth noting:

• the most glaring observation is the difference in demeanor between the “trained” officer, and the civilian martial artist. The officer is cursing at the guy and calling him all types of “mfs”..while the BJJ guy is cooler than a polar bears toenails talm bout “just relax, brother.”, “no, don’t do that friend”, “please, brother, stop fighting.” Law enforcement nationwide could use a few lessons on de-escalation from this fella.

• The incompetency of the officer and his ability to physically subdue the suspect. A taser should’ve been deployed way prior to them rolling around on the ground scuffling, but the officer saw himself in the suspect. A Black man would’ve been shot and killed from the get-go.
  
• The officer had to be given play-by-play instructions, during the heat of battle, on how to properly restrain the suspect. He needs to either cough up some cash for the lessons, or call @Mowgli daddy

So many subtle nuances of control that made the entire experience a gift wrap arrest for an otherwise deceased officer wow.
