i never thought i'd get to hear gucci mane on an el-p beat either. pretty dope ep 
It may seem like people are sleeping but he's seems to be slowly accumulating a loyal fanbase. His cosigns aren't at the level where everyone's just going to jump on the bandwagon, so you can't expect him to get that same outpouring of hype and fake love that a guy like ASAP got.
As somebody who saw his potential when he was doing the NYC open mic circuit in like '08 I'm very happy for him. He had the talent, he just didn't know how to set himself apart from the pack. Check out "The Big Fat Kill" mixtape for evidence. Now he's figured it out and he's gaining steam. He sounds dope on tracks with guys like Despot & Maffew Ragazino and he sounds dope on tracks with guys like Gucci Mane. The talent is undeniable, it's only a matter of time.

haven't really felt him too much, even though I can recognize he is actually going off in the songs -- they just dont really connect with me. I'm pretty sure it's the voice -- just has a kinda unexceptional breathy presence (vaguely reminiscent of old Shyne, who's voice I never liked much either). Gucci sounded way better on that El-P beat!!
I'ma keep checking for him every once in a while though. maybe his voice is an acquired taste. he should project LOUDER & wild style harder tho.
