Album had some heat on it--the song with Brotha Lynch was my favorite. 97 was a strong year for No Limit, they should've stayed at around that release pace instead of dropping 23 discs in 98.

I agree with all of this

The cut with Brotha Lynch and Heaven Is So Close were the best songs on Life Insurance. Pretty underrated lil album, did have some weak spots towards the end tho

P saw the opportunity in 98 to cash in on NL's popularity, so short term he did the right thing. However albums from Full Blooded or Lil Soldiers or Lil Italy or Who U Wit were just too much, clearly quantity over quality approach. P put alotta money in his artists' pockets (cars, guns, real estate for free for every single NL soldier)

If he just put out the following 12 albums out in 98, focusing on quality (especially in the 2nd half), not evolving into fast food rap, it would have been alot better/smarter longterm:

My Balls & My Word
Charge It 2 Da Game
Life Or Death
IGTHU OST
TOIEF
Give It 2 Em Raw
Da Last Don
Shell Shocked
Am I My Brothers Keepr
Da Game Is To Be Sold
Assassin
Mama Drama

Then Mystikal, Magic, Snoop, Gambinos, PS, Mo B, TRU, ServOn, Foolish, Tank Doggs and maybe C and Silkk solos in 99 (again keep it to one album per month)
