Mr Telephone Man was originally not even New Edition’s song.

The concept sounds better from little kids like New Edition. Something about a grown man biching at the guy working on telephone wires seems counterproductive like nikka call customer service if there's an issue.
Tucker was actually 16 when he recorded this. :russ:

Not going to lie I slightly like his version better, it got a smooth/chill beachy vibe to it.

....
Bobby Brown did a better job.

End of discussion for me …

Side note

Tucker looks like Temu Ralph Tresvant

From what I read, Tucker had trouble with getting promo for his debut album due to fears that would have been overshadowed by Triller. Makes you wonder how big of a star he would of been.

Apparently Ray Parker Jr wrote it for a Jamaican artist name Junior Tucker. He even included it on his album before New Edition recorded their version of it. :ohhh:

Y’all like this version better?

This makes cry to know low music has fallen.
