Hey there, sports fans! Baseball season is almost upon us, with pitchers and catchers (and all the other players) reporting for official duty on April 3. For New York teams, the home openers—which happen April 4 for the Yankees, and April 8 for the Mets—will have an added layer of fun, as the MTA will once again roll out Nostalgia trains for the events. Yankee fans will have the chance to once again ride a circa-1917 train, which will leave from Grand Central Terminal (on the northbound 4/5/6 platform) at 11:30 a.m. on April 4. For Mets fans, the Train of Many Colors (which was first introduced in the 1940s, and ran to Queens during the World's Fairs) will depart from the 34th St-Hudson Yards subway station at 11:30 a.m., and make express stops along the 7 to Queens.
