This showcase shows that simplicity can be really effective
First off
@Mugen I like this instrumental it has great organization, and it can definitely serve as a backdrop for artists and film/tv as well. The levels are put together really well. Great work

The track itself is nice, but the levels are so loud, that I have to turn my system down just to level it out. I understand that often times people want the maximum loudness on their tracks, but there comes a point where too much is too much. It's difficult to evaluate everything else when the levels aren't set properly. The drums themselves have great quality. Do you still have the youlean loudness meter?
Youlean Loudness Meter - Free VST, AU and AAX plugin the free version would be more than enough.

@bigrodthe1 is over the tournament. That starts when he puts it up as far as I know it's sometime this week. but the showcase is separate. I just went with another instrumental you already submitted.

Well, i produce my music at Volume 50 on my laptop.

The tunnel as been apart of the booth for years, and it was active for a time. Most people come around a certain part of the year, but it tails off at certain points, and i don't believe registration is open, so that makes new members a rarity. The tunnel is already isolated, and isolating it further will only hamper it more so.
Over loudness makes it difficult on the ear for a period of time. Apollo Brown's music is loud. the music is good, but it's loud as you've said. I don't see myself listening for long periods, and when I do, I lower the system. If that's the route you wish to go, the by all means. Nothing with music is right or wrong. With critiques I always say this
If the critique serves you and is helpful to you then great. But if it doesn't feel free to ignore it.

My tracks all use to be super loud mixes and after a while, It started getting in the way with my ears. Depending on how much a leash I have with the tournament you may hear some old material mixed in with new work. I use to listen to a bunch of Rock, and had to mix quite a bit so the mixes had two volumes "Loud and Louder" haha

Damn right. I got some more man I’m always down so if you ever have a hard time finding a 2nd I’ll be the 1st person or the 2nd person if that makes sense. The only thing is getting the notifications. I have the tunnel direct linked in my favorites bar so that’s how I found out about this right here lol

Can y'all check my new mix?
I cut the volume by -13 db for a perfectly sounding track that didn't try to take out my ears, really the volume (over compression is the only thing that worried me. However listening at 50% is what you are going for. So if that's what you want you have achieved your goal. I'm listening through my interphase and monitors so I keep the level where it is, for your tracks I still have to turn them way down, that's the difficulty of having, and mixing from different systems though. If I had the files I would mix it and send them back just to see what you think, but you have what you were going for in regards to listening at a low volume.
