He ran with that racist colorism shyt against Joe Frazier who actually grew up dirt poor in South Carolina.
He fooled around on multiple women (he was married 4 times).

Let's not act like he wasn't without his faults.
His constant insults on Joe Frazier were some of the worst things ever said by one athlete to another. Especially if you knew how Frazier grew up.

A lot of people feel Ali only has the world's sympathy is because he got hit with a horrible disease. And the 96 Olympics went a long way toward getting people to love him.

But he was hated by a lot of people in the 1960s and 1970s. And they weren't only white supporters of the Vietnam War.

legit humility is treating ppl right ... not bowing down to some loser to make them feel better about themselves...

all black men should be cocky....and believe in themselves....plus they hate us anyway....might aswell get hated on for being dominant

There is a difference in being cocky and confidence. If you can back up your words than great but people don't like cocky. Being polite (not nice) and having confidence in ones ability is what people most respect.

Ali is different because he was a world class boxer promoting a fight, the average person acting like this won't get him anywhere.
