Rhonda Dorgan, 52, and her son
Aidan Dorgan, 23, were identified as the two victims killed in the shooting at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on February 16, 2026.
- Rhonda Dorgan was a resident of North Providence and a mother of three. She was the ex-wife of the shooter, Robert Dorgan, who also went by Roberta Esposito.
- Aidan Dorgan was a 2021 graduate of North Providence High School, captain of the varsity hockey and lacrosse teams, and a mechanical engineering graduate from Merrimack College. He was employed as an engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, Connecticut.
Three other individuals were critically injured:
- Linda and Jerry Dorgan, Rhonda’s parents, remain hospitalized in critical condition.
- A friend of Rhonda Dorgan was also injured and hospitalized.
The shooter,
Robert Dorgan (Roberta Esposito), 56, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at the scene. Authorities described the incident as a targeted attack tied to a family dispute, with the shooter being Rhonda’s ex-husband and Aidan’s father.
A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support Rhonda’s surviving children, with over $27,000 raised toward a $40,000 goal as of Tuesday, February 17.
