I have respect on his name, its you who doesn't seem to respect what he has done and try to rewrite history to make him bigger than artists who were clearly bigger than him in their prime.

Where did I try to rewrite history? And where did I say he's bigger than those guys in their prime?

Plenty of people have long careers but never make big runs.
J Cole never had a run, never was on top of the game, just a career journey man, which is hard but respectable.
Instead of trying to rewrite history and his relevance though, just admit you respect and like his work and keep it moving.

platinum no features is not a journey man

Pop acts?

Cole has had the ultimate industry push. His music would never gain him universal appeal
That’s more due to his fan base though Cole never does a lot of marketing to sell his music he just knows what his fans like and he gives them that every time and they support him

Yall so mad at facts :umad:

nikkas in here calling JCole the Joe Smith of rap :heh:

Men lie women lie numbers dont :umad:

I'm not even a fan of dude but cotdamn he's definitely on a " run" foh.

There's maybe a handful of current rappers who wouldn't trade they're careers for J coles success

Did i see a nikka in here put J. cole and DMX in the same sentence?:what:

:camby:
DMX went platinum is one calendar year. He didn’t sell a couple hundred thousand copies — he sold millions. In one year!

There comes a point where you have to let these kids express their lousy opinion.

If I were to grade this thread, I would give it a C+. It’s a poorly conceived idea with weak arguments.

Im actually dissapointed in J.cole he never made anything that topped "the warm up" and FNF. Those are by far his best projects. Nothing comes close to be honest. N that shyt came out in like 2009-2010 ish
