They are high in the healthy fats and good cholesterol. But even better, they are at the bottom of the food chain. Even farmed mussels aren’t fed anything if I remember correctly. A rare farmed seafood item that isn’t messed with.
I like mussels much better than clam and oysters. And they are cheaper too. Mussels are usually around $5 a pound.
