Ive probably watched every episode twice. This show got me started on anime and I haven't stopped since.

The Inferno armor one of the best power upgrades of all time. Ryo had no clue how powerful he was until 3/4ths of the way through.

Its only problem is that it had less than 40 episodes.

I don't even like anime, but that was my shyt back in '95 or so. Used to come on in the afternoons. Watched most of the series, but never saw how it ended. I think the entire series has been uploaded to YouTube. Keep meaning to get around to watching it again...
