I'm paying $60 for a 75 mpbs connection. I don't think it gets much better than that.

Yeah, that's actually pretty decent, provided you getting good dl/ul speeds. What are your speeds at?

I just talked my cable and innanet bill providers (they're different companies, Cox & DirecTV respectively) down considerably yesterday. I was at 75 bucks for net for 100 mbps down (I think 10 up), but now I'm at 57 a month. And for cable, I was just at 140 a month for the main channel line-ups + HBO, Showtime & Starz, with 2 dvrs (only the newest one provided access to all tvs to its saved content) and 4 tvs serviced, protection plan and other hijinx, but after threatening to cancel, got that shyt down to 52 a month, with no change in service, for 2 years. Only caveat is the premium channels are only free for 3 months again. I'll cancel them shyts (or just threaten to) in March to stay at 50 bones monthly.

I just got a new deal with comcast. I'm paying $110 for 2 years for cable and 75Mbps internet. plus I get free HBO (didn't care about that shyt).

I have 2 HD boxes (no dvr) and 3 HD digital converters, so I'm paying $30 for boxes. total price is just under $140 before taxes.

comcast has these HD digital converters which only cost $3 a month to rent. you can get most of the channels, but not HBO, and no in demand. also cannot get channels like NBA TV or red zone on them, but thats fine.

the threat of google fiber coming into this market means they aren't enforcing data caps. plus we have like 2 other cable providers plus att-uverse and dish/direct tv in our market also, so there's a lot of competition.

I think he said it was for at least 1 year. but it might be for 2. I can't remember and I don't care. I can make an additional user comcast email you can use for HBO GO. I don't get it til Friday when they move my service tho.

btw comcast HBOGO does NOT work with PS3 or PS4 since they don't have a contract with them. at least that was how it was last time I checked. It does work on roku and apple tv.
